Regensburg cathedral
Dom St. Peter cathedral is a great building of the period from Gothic style. The cathedral was built around 1250, inspired by other wonderful cathedrals such as in France. Whilst the building sports an imposing west facade with main entrance and its two towers rising 105 meters, the church vault with 32 metres height is dominated by its valuable glass windows painted on more than 100 panes.
Steinerne Brücke with Brückentor
Stone bridge is the oldest usable river crossing of the country. From 1135 onwards the path of the bridge swings on fifteen arches over the Danube and is a masterpieces of medieval architecture. The Wurstkuchl, the oldest sausage grill tavern, is situated behind bridge's gate, next to Salzstadl – and already served construction workers in middle ages.
Porta Praetoria
The Porta Praetoria city gate is considered one of the oldest buildings in the city today. It dates from 179 before Christi and was the Northern access to the former Roman encampment.
Baumburger Turm
Baumburger Turm tower located at Watmarkt was built in the 13th century and is one of the most beautiful genus tower. These towers, each one possessed by a patrician family, were fortifications within a town. Particularly attractive the open arcade.
Walhalla memorial
The imposing castle complex on the Walhalla river has been known as domicile for trading routes monitoring since the 10th century. Destroyed by the Swedish in 1634, Bavarian king Ludwig I built this columns temple for honouring great leaders from 1830 to 1842.

Regensburg is a paradise for runners. There are endless running tracks. For example from our hotel to the Donaupark park. But also the Winzerer running track with beautiful views over the town. Depending on your route you will find woodland, gravel, crushed rock or asphalt. All have one thing in common: They are almost free of cars – at any time of year.

Wöhrdbad is a small summer open-air bath and green nature oasis, near Danube river. The 50-metre swimming pool, pool for non-swimmers and children, paddling pool, playground, a channel with a running current, a diving platform and a wide with old trees give the bath its special character. It guarantees bathing enjoyment for young and old.
Golfing at Minoritenhof convent estate
Distance: 14 km
The 18-hole course with well-kept fairways is wonderfully situated directly at the Danube river. One part of the course of the all in all 140 hectares large terrain is situated sloped landscape in the Danube valley. The other part runs very flat and partly directly along the shore. The course is sportively challenging and requires a good physical condition.
