Green Spirit. Green Stay.
Sustainability and travel go hand in hand. As hosts, we offer you and all other guests a temporary home away from home. You should feel comfortable. Of course, we take responsibility for our environment and have already anchored the topic of sustainability in our corporate values with founding of Sorat Hotels. Read on about what we do in our sustainability mission statement Green Spirit. Green Stay.
About Greensign
The Greensign sustainability certification is awarded by the Greensign Institut GmbH from Berlin. It is a certification catalog recognized by the world-renowned Global Sustainable Tourism Council for determining the level of sustainability of a hotel. In order to receive Greensign certification, a hotel must first complete the comprehensive list of requirements. This contains more than 100 criteria, which are broken down into eight core areas. In addition to ecological sustainability, social, cultural and economic aspects are also taken into account. Each requirement is assigned a corresponding number of points. In addition, the establishment of an environmental program in which concrete development goals are set is mandatory. The hotel's information is first checked by the Greensign experts. An on-site audit is then carried out, whereby all information is put to the test. Once the audit has been completed, the hotel’s sustainability performance is presented transparently, both overall and in the individual core areas, based on the degree of conformity. The degree of conformity ranges from a minimum of 50% to a maximum of 100%. The degree of conformity a hotel has achieved can be seen on the certificate, which is issued for three years. The Greensign sustainability barometer, which every hotel receives after certification, transparently presents the performance of each hotel in the individual core areas.
