A great stay begins with conscious choices. Our hotel is Greensign certified and has been assessed according to the criteria of the Greensign Institute. The seal underlines our commitment to responsible practices in everyday hotel operations, which we continue to develop step by step.
About Greensign
The Greensign sustainability certification is awarded by Greensign Institut GmbH in Berlin. It is a certification standard recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council for assessing a hotel’s sustainability performance. To receive Greensign certification, a hotel must first complete a comprehensive catalogue of requirements. It includes more than 130 criteria divided into ten core areas. In addition to environmental aspects, social, cultural and economic areas are also taken into account. The individual requirements are weighted as part of the assessment. Hotels are also required to prepare an environmental programme with specific development goals. The information provided by the hotel is first reviewed by Greensign experts. This is followed by an on-site audit, during which the information is verified. Once the assessment has been completed, the results are presented both overall and for the individual core areas based on the degree of conformity. This ranges from a minimum of 50 percent to a maximum of 100 percent. The results can be viewed in the Greensign sustainability barometer, which provides a clear overview of the hotel’s performance in the individual core areas.
