By train
Berlin has several long distance train stations. The Zoologischer Garten train station is one of them. You can arrive or depart there from many directions with sprinter trains. The train station for those arriving from the north or east, from the west or south is usually Berlin Hauptbahnhof central station. The Berlin Hauptbahnhof is located in the city centre not far from the government district and very well connected to the public transport. Berlin Zoologischer Garten, colloquially Bahnhof Zoo, is a railway station for regional express trains and it is also an interchange with the U-Bahn underground and the S-Bahn urban railway. From Zoologischer Garten station take a taxi to the hotel or if you like, you can also walk:
