Which of your data do we process and for what purposes?

We process the data that you have sent to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the advertised position — or, where applicable, for other open positions — within our companies and to carry out the application process.


What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is Article 88(1) GDPR in conjunction with section 26 (1), sentence 1 BDSG. The processing of data within an applicant pool may only take place on the basis of consent. The legal basis for consent is article 6 (1), sentence 1 lit. c GDPR. Accordingly, the processing of data that is necessary in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permitted. If, after completion of the application process, the data may be required for legal proceedings, data processing may take place on the basis of the requirements of article 6 GDPR, in particular for the purpose of pursuing legitimate interests pursuant to article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. In such cases, our interest lies in asserting or defending claims.


How long will the data be stored?

Data of applicants will be deleted after six months in the event of rejection. If you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will include your data in our applicant pool. The data stored there will be deleted after one year. f you are accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system. You may, of course, also withdraw your application at any time, and we will delete your personal data without delay, provided that there are no statutory retention periods preventing deletion.


To which recipients will the data be disclosed?

After receipt of your application, your applicant data will be reviewed by the Human Resources department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. Within the company, only those persons who require access to your data for the proper conduct of our application process will generally have access to it.


Where will the data be processed?

The data will be processed exclusively in data centers located in the Federal Republic of Germany.


What rights do you have as a data subject?

SYou have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you that we process. In the case of an information request that is not made in writing, we kindly ask for your understanding that we may require proof from you confirming that you are the person you claim to be. You also have the right to rectification or deletion of your data, or to restriction of processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to these rights. Furthermore, you have the right to object to processing within the scope of the statutory provisions. The same applies to the right to data portability. In addition, the applicant has the right to withdraw consent given for processing within the applicant pool at any time pursuant to article 7 (3), sentence 1 GDPR.
