Where east meets west!
Görlitz is Germany's easternmost city located on the river Neiße which marks the border between Poland and Germany. A small part of the city with the new name of Zgorzelec is located on the Polish side of the river Neiße.
Motorists can reach the city from two directions: either from Dresden on the A4 motorway or on the B115 federal road from Berlin. If you come by rail to Görlitz: All tram lines stopping at the railway stations lead to Demianiplatz - and there you are. The nearest airport is Dresden.
