Motorists can reach Dresden directly via the A4 and A13 motorways and the B97 federal road. Take the direct route from the airport via the Flughafen Dresden motorway access. The distance to Cottbus totals 100km.
If you are not planning to rent a car, then take Deutsche Bahn's RegionalBahn or RegionalExpress trains leaving Dresden's central railway station to continue your journey to Cottbus. Trains leave every hour and the journey takes around 2 hours. Public transport offers perfect connections from the airport by urban rail (S-Bahn), tram and regular bus service to Dresden's central railway station in the city centre.

If you are not planning to rent a car, then take Deutsche Bahn's InterRegio train leaving Berlin's Ostbahnhof or Friedrichstraße stations to continue your journey to Cottbus. Trains leave every 2 hours and the journey takes 60 minutes.
