Very Brief Hotel Description
Sorat Hotel Brandenburg is situated in the historic town of Brandenburg in the region of the same name, surrounding Berlin, the German capital city. The much older city of Brandenburg once gave the city rights to Berlin.
The Sorat Hotel was opened in 1995 in the historic city centre, right on the old market square opposite the medieval town hall and famous Roland statue.
The Hotel
The Sorat Hotel Brandenburg first opened its doors at the beginning of 1995 in the historical town of Brandenburg. With 88 single and double rooms, four conference rooms, a restaurant, sauna and fitness studio, the hotel not only fits perfectly the needs of the travelling business person, but has enough room as well to accommodate travel groups exploring the one thousand year history of this town on the Havel.
The location of the Sorat Hotel Brandenburg - right on the market square of the historical centre - is convenient and stimulating. Directly across from the hotel, you'll find the historical Rathaus (town hall) with its statue of Roland dating from 1474, one of the town's main attractions. Hotel construction was undertaken in close cooperation with the committee for preservation of monuments; the hotel's size and facade fits discreetly into the historical setting. Approximately 16 Million DM were invested into the hotel.
The Sorat Hotel Brandenburg is built around a little garden. The terrace is accessible through either the sunny breakfast room or the conference rooms. These bright, variable conference rooms can accommodate up to 50 persons. The hotel's decor conveys an extremely friendly atmosphere. Especially the restaurant with its bookshelves and glazed tile stove reminds one of a comfortable, old parlor and is exceedingly popular. All hotel rooms are equipped with a bath/shower, large mirror, hair dryer, air conditioner, desk, telephone, fax facilities, satellite TV, radio and mini-bar. Two rooms on the ground floor are wheel-chair accessible. Overnight rates including breakfast buffet range from 98 to 141 EURO for a single room and 114 to 157 EURO for a double room.
