SORAT Bed+Bonus programme



Terms of participation


The SORAT Bed+Bonus programme and the SORAT Bed+Bonus card is issued by the
SORAT Hotels Deutschland, Bayreuther Straße 42, D-10787 Berlin, Germany.

 

1. Participation

1.1 Natural persons over 18 years of age are entitled to participate in the SORAT Bed+Bonus programme. Firms, organisations and SORAT Hotels/partner hotel staff are excluded from participation.

1.2 After registration using the enclosed form, the participant receives a SORAT Bed+Bonus Card for a one-off token fee of 5.00 EUR including 19% VAT. The card will remain the property of SORAT Hotels. It is not transferable and may only be used by the cardholder.

1.3 No more than one person may be registered on each card; multiple registration by the same person is not permissible.

1.4 Both contracting parties can give notice of termination of participation in the SORAT Bed+Bonus programme at any time. Notice of termination must be given in writing in order to be valid.

1.5 The participant must notify SORAT Hotels immediately if any of the information given in the application changes.

 

2. How to acquire bonus points

2.1 The Bed+Bonus member must refer to his or her SORAT Bed+Bonus membership when making the reservation or - at the latest - on arrival.

2.2 The member receives one bonus point for every EUR he or she spends on the following services at any SORAT Hotel or partner hotel:
- Overnight stay at normal, weekend or corporate rates;
- Overnight stay at promotion prices if the respective hotel expressly indicates that this price category entitles the customer to participate in the Bed+Bonus programme;
- Meals, beverages and other services purchased by the cardholder himself during his/her overnight stay.
This does not include services in which the hotel avails itself of third-party services (e.g. phone, parking charges).

The Bed+Bonus member earns extra points for booking meetings and seminars in all SORAT Hotels/partner hotels if such booking includes a minimum of one 8-hour conference package per participant. Bonus points will be credited after the meeting has taken place, the final number of participants will be calculated.

2.3 If more than one Bed+Bonus member uses the same service (e.g. a double room) together, the bonus points shall only be credited to one of the members.

2.4 Once a quarter the Bed+Bonus member will be sent a statement of account and information on the number of points collected. Any objections must be raised in writing within 4 weeks after receipt of this information and made credible by enclosing the hotel invoice.

2.5 Bonus points cannot be transferred to other Bed+Bonus members.

 

3. Trading in bonus pointsawards

3.1 Bonus points remain valid for 36 months after purchase of the respective service at a SORAT Hotel or partner hotel. If they are not traded in for awards within this period, they will lapse without replacement.

3.2 The Bed+Bonus member can apply to SORAT Hotels for the desired award by phone or in writing and will then receive a voucher for the desired award. The corresponding number of points will be deducted from the member’s account.

3.3 The practical arrangements on awards organized by our partner companies AVIS or KaDeWe are subject to their respective General Terms and Conditions. SORAT Hotels shall not be liable for the partner company’s products or services.

3.4 Award vouchers can only be traded in, if the name of the cardholder/member is identical to the name of the person trading in the points.

3.5 Award vouchers cannot be transfered to other people. Stolen or lost vouchers will not be replaced.

3.6 No SORAT Bed+Bonus points will be awarded for services rendered by a SORAT Hotel or partner hotel in exchange for award vouchers.

3.7 If the Bed+Bonus member terminates his or her participation in the SORAT Bed+Bonus programme, they will be entitled to an award voucher amounting to the sum of bonus points collected up to that time, assuming that the number of points entitles the holder to an award. The award voucher must be traded in within six months.

 

4. Other stipulations

4.1 SORAT Hotels reserves the right to change the Terms of Participation, the method of calculating the bonus points, and the awards offered at any time.

4.2 Changes in these Terms of Participation may become necessary for legal reasons. In the event that SORAT is obliged to make such changes, this shall not justify any claim for damages by the participant.

4.3 SORAT Hotels reserves the right to end the SORAT Bed+Bonus programme or to replace it by a different programme at any time. The bonus points collected up to that time will lapse 6 months after the participant is informed of the ending of the programme (date as postmark).

4.4 SORAT Hotels shall only be liable for damage or injury to participants in connection with their participation in the SORAT Bed+Bonus programme if such damage is caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

4.5 Changes pursuant to points 4.1 and 4.3 shall not justify any claim for damages by the participant. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction for any disputes which cannot be amicably settled is Berlin.
